UFC Tonight- Here are my picks.

As you all know, I am a huge UFC fan. I have been in martial arts since I was 5 years old. I will always post my picks here. If you want to discuss it at all post a comment.

Tonight's card: Dec. 27

Card of the year! Three main event fights on one card to make sure everyone is thinking UFC in 2009.

Forrest Griffin Versus Rashad Evans

Yes, Rashad flatlined Chuck Liddel. No one can take that away from him but he looks ridiculous bobbing his head back and forth all fight. He is fast and a great athlete but I am still not convinced that he belongs in the elite levels of the UFC. Unless he pulls another rabbit out of his hat I will take Forrest Griffin. Forrest is all heart, a nasty leg kick, relentless presssure, and underrated jits.

Rampage Versus The Axe Murderer

Rampage is awesome, I trained with him last year, but this is a tough reality: Silva has knocked him out twice and in the last six months Rampage went a little coockoo for coco puffs. I suspect this to be all stand up and Silva will win again.

Mir Versus Nogeira

A long road back for Mir. From bouncing at the Spearmint Rhino to getting another (title?) shot. Mir is a really nice guy (at least when I met him) and I would really like to see him win. I will be rooting for him. This is one of those fights that if it ends in the first round, Mir has it, but anything longer than that, and you have to give it to the Rocky of our generation: Nogeira

I have a house full of people tonight and I cannot wait!

Cheers!

I was rooting for Rampage, Forest, and Mir to win. And they almost all did.

It's too bad Forest didn't get to take it. That guys has a great attitude. It's no wonder he's a crowd favorite.

But all in all, it was a great set of fights. I'm glad Rampage and Mir won their fights.
